Who You'll Be In Front Of

The theme is Translational Forensics: Uniting Medicine, Nursing, Forensics, Judiciary, Police and Society, and the delegate list reflects it. Six constituencies that rarely sit in one room, all here for five days.

Medicine

Professors and heads of Forensic Medicine departments, postgraduate residents, autopsy surgeons and medical officers from medical colleges and district hospitals across every state.

Specify autopsy equipment, mortuary fit-out and departmental textbooks

Nursing

Nursing faculty, administrators and students, attending through our collaboration with the Trained Nurses' Association of India, Uttarakhand State Branch. Nursing delegates attend on 4 February.

Influence hospital protocols and nursing curricula

Forensic science

Scientists from state and central forensic science laboratories — toxicology, serology, DNA and questioned documents — alongside academic forensic scientists.

Specify laboratory instrumentation, reagents and consumables

Judiciary

Judicial officers, public prosecutors and legal academics engaging with medical evidence, expert testimony and the courtroom use of forensic findings.

Shape evidentiary standards and expert practice

Police

Investigating officers, police surgeons and scene-of-crime personnel, plus those responsible for investigator training within state police organisations.

Procure scene-of-crime kits and investigation technology

Society

Public health professionals, medico-legal NGOs, ethicists and press covering the intersection of medicine, law and public interest.

Carry the conference into wider circulation

Skill labs on 2 and 3 February draw a smaller, self-selecting group who have paid extra to attend — hands-on sessions in medical certification of cause of death, virtual autopsy, simulation, forensic photography and AI in forensics. These are the delegates most likely to specify equipment.

Cancellation

  1. Cancellations must be sent in writing to the Organizing Secretary. The date written notice is received governs, not the date of any telephone conversation.
  2. Cancellation on or before 30 November 2026 — 50% of the amount paid is refunded. GST already remitted is not refundable.
  3. Cancellation after 30 November 2026 — no refund. By this point kit items are committed to print and venue costs are contracted.
  4. A sponsorship may be transferred to another organisation at any time with the written consent of the Organizing Committee, at no charge. Transfer is usually the better option for both parties.
  5. If artwork does not reach us by the dates above, the entitlement lapses without refund. The organisers cannot delay a print run for one sponsor.

Good to know

  1. All sponsorship, exhibition and advertisement amounts are exclusive of GST. 18% GST is added to the invoice. This differs from delegate registration, where fees for Indian categories are inclusive of GST.
  2. Platinum is capped at three sponsors. The three premium souvenir cover positions are allotted in order of payment received, not order of enquiry.
  3. Expected attendance of 800 to 1000 delegates on 4 February, day one of the main conference, is an estimate based on previous IAFM annual conferences. It is not a guarantee. Attendance on the skill-lab days of 2 and 3 February is smaller by design.
  4. Kit items are printed in a run of 1,200 to cover delegates, faculty, organising staff and spares.
  5. Artwork must reach us in print-ready vector or 300 dpi format by the dates listed above. Late artwork cannot be accommodated in the print run.
  6. Stalls and exclusive branding items are allotted in order of payment received.
  7. Complimentary registrations must be named by 15 January 2027 and are not transferable afterwards.
  8. Sponsorship does not confer any role in selecting scientific content. The scientific programme is set by the organising committee alone.
