URGENT REQUIREMENT OF MANAGER FOR HIMALAYAN CENTRE OF INNOVATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Job description for MANAGER – HCIE

Essential Qualification:

• Masters in any discipline with minimum 55% marks preferably (MBA./MSc) or equivalent from a recognized, accredited and reputed Institute/ University.

Desirable Qualification – PhD. in science / business or LLB/LLM with a business degree.

Essential Experience:

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience of working with an Incubator/Incubation cell, or with a start-up/entrepreneurship ecosystem by virtue of managing/ leading/ coordinating key activities or its flagship programmes.

Desirable experience/skills:

• Familiar with scientific research, innovation and have worked with a reputed research Institute.
• Good understanding on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and experience on Technology Transfer.
• Familiar with the working of Incubators/ Accelerators (Academic Incubators preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office, excellent presentation and communication (writing and verbal) skills.
• Self-driven, enthusiastic, willing to travel, entrepreneurial and aggressive, Market Knowledge, Time management and planning skills are a plus.
• Should be able to work in a start-up environment.
• Must have an understanding of scientific ideas, project management and preferably have experience of working in a corporate/business/research focused environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall planning, event management, account management and smooth functioning of the Incubation Centre as time to time directed from the office of the CEO/Director.
• Responsible for screening of proposals and working with the applicants.
• Provide incubation facilities, assist the incubatees in formation of their start-up and keep track of the incubation process.
• Work closely with the CEO/Director to design, develop and run Incubation / Acceleration program.
• Organize events/seminars to create a platform for all the incubated start-ups/investors to share ideas and discuss on their future growth prospects.
• Work closely with the start-up teams and resolve their queries in a timely manner.
• Act as a relationship manager to build long-term relationships with new and existing Investors/Stake holders
• Must have knowledge and understanding of Financial and Project Management, Taxation framework, idea about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Government start-up policies and Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs).
• Able to partner with other organizations for providing support/services to the incubates/incubators.
• Attend various events and build a network of alliances.
• Develop a strategy to promote the incubation Centre and attract more incubates.
• Able to work with various committee to arrange various funds for the start-ups.
• Maintain all the required records of the Incubation Centre.
