· Courses of Physician Assistant ( a two years course) in cardiac centers that grant this degree. Or · GNM/Post Basic Nursing/B.Sc. Nursing with atleast 6 to 8 years of experience as 1st Assistant in Cardiac OT |
· They are trained in cardiac surgery to help Cardiac Surgeon from front.
· They have thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy & physiology. · They are able to connect patient to heart lung machine. · Handle small vascular emergencies in case of emergency. · Should help surgeon in planning & execution.
